few weeks ago, rapper 50 Cent and pound for pound best boxer in the world Floyd Mayweather Jr. got into a physical altercation. And according to a member of 50's camp, who heard all about the incident, "punches were thrown."
A G-Unit insider, who spoke to MediaTakeOut.com on the condition of anonymity explained, "They were disagreeing about money - a bet or something, and then it just popped off." Our source continued, "It wasn't anything too serious ... they're both men and sometimes when grown men disagree, it has to come to that."
The insider claims that physical altercations between 50 Cent and his pals occur frequently - and there's never any hard feelings afterward. And in this instance, Floyd and 50 seem to be friends again. The insider tells MediaTakeOut.com, "After it was over they went back to being cool. They're both real n*ggas - so it wasn't anything."
And if you're wondering who won the scuffle - it was a draw.
Ciara is hard at work in the studio working on her third album. Although the title is not yet revealed, Billboard.com reported that the album is under work with release date slated to be either August or early September. The New Album will be the singer’s follow-up release to 2006’s The Evolution, which released a host of singles into 2007.
This time around, Ciara is tapping producers Polow Da Don, who produced her first single from Evolution, “Promise,” as well as Timberland protege, Nate “Danjahandz” Hill, who has been knocking out plenty of hits over the past couple years, as well as hook master T-Pain and the talented members of The Clutch, who she worked with on her second single, “Like A Boy.”
In February, Ciara also held a national audition to seek dancers that will accompany her in promotion of the third album. Anticipation for the audition was running high that she added a couple more dates in March for more dancers. In addition to recording, Ciara is also starring in the film adaptation of
Mama, I Want to Sing!, co-starring it with Patti LaBelle. The FoxFaith production is slated to hit theaters later this year.
Young Clifford gets to breathe in the fresh spring air this Easter vs. having to stay home on house arrest:
T.I. didn’t get to host a Thanksgiving gathering at the suburban home where is under house arrest while awaiting trial on weapons charges, but he is being allowed to attend an Easter service. A federal magistrate judge ruled Thursday that T.I., whose given name is Clifford Harris, can be away from home from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday so he can attend a service sponsored by New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Court documents say the service had been planned to be held at the Georgia Dome in downtown Atlanta, but because of tornado damage at the dome it may have to be held at the church’s Lithonia location. The judge says T.I. must be accompanied during the excursion by a court-approved monitor and one of his attorneys.
Good for him. It’s nice to hear that TI and Tiny can attend a wholesome family outing that doesn’t involve strippers and/or guns.
